The application process for the NEXUS pass has been refined with the reopening of these centres.
There are now two steps to enrolling.
CBSA officers stationed at the Canadian centres will complete the Canadian portion of the NEXUS interview, and the U.S. portion of the application process will take place at the airport preclearance locations by CBP officers.
If you are a conditionally-approved NEXUS applicant or a renewing member and require an interview, you will be able to book the Canadian portion of their interview at one of the airports listed below through the Trusted Traveller Programs scheduler as interview times become available.

The Nexus interview locations in Canada and the NEXUS reopening dates are as follows:
- Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) – reopens March 27
- Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport (YWG) – reopens March 27 Vancouver International Airport (YVR) – reopens April 3
- Calgary International Airport (YYC) – reopens April 12
- Edmonton International Airport (YEG) – reopens April 12
- Montreal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) – reopens April 17
- Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) – reopens April 24
- Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (YOW) – reopens April 24
Applicants can now choose from among three options for their NEXUS interviews:
- Joint U.S. – Canada interview at a land enrolment centre (14 locations) in the U.S.
- Split interview at a Canadian land enrolment centre (2 locations) followed by an interview at a U.S. land enrolment centre
- A two-step interview at a Canadian airport enrolment centre (8 locations), followed by an interview at a U.S. preclearance location in a Canadian airport
If you are an existing member and renew your membership prior to the expiry date, you will have your benefits extended for up to five years to allow for the scheduling and completion of interviews, as required if you have not been approved for auto-renewal.
